Japan '00

I found out about the chance to go on this trip from a friend of mine who applied to go on it herself and thought that I would be interested. Unfortunately, she was not selected to go on the trip, however I had the good fortune to be chosen as one of five students (and two professors) from my college to visit our sister college (Aoyama Women's Junior College) on its 50th anniversary.  I think the only reason I got the chance to go was because I was the only one of the seven that really spoke Japanese (one of the other students had taken classes).  

The seven of us (all female except for one professor)  were there for 10 days.  We students stayed in the college's dorms and attended classes (as speakers and guests, not students).  We also got some chances to travel, going to Kyoto and Kamakura, among other local places.  As if that wasn't cool enough, the whole trip was free!
